Many actors find themselves a "survival job," but not many have their survival job lead them to working on Fashion Avenue in New York City. Under Chief Creative Officer Zein Ahmed's tutelage at Guru NYC, Lauren helped build a flea market booth into a high-design label carried in over 70 boutique stores worldwide. It is also there that she learned the global consequences of fast fashion, and has continued to seek out sustainable materials in her design choices. She continued to work for small, independent designers and stylists for another five years. Her work with Guru NYC has been in print and online publications including O Magazine, Marie Claire, Architectural Digest, and Vogue.
Lauren now works in the field of event design as it encompasses all of her artistic and design passions. Her unique talents as an event designer are a culmination of her now ten years of varied arts experience ranging her fashion design and marketing in New York City, coordinating Mardi Gras balls in New Orleans, to planning and designing weddings in Virginia wine country, to performing in theatrical productions throughout the world. Through these experiences Lauren has cultivated a unique eye for color, aesthetic, and creative imagery. Have an event that needs an extra touch? Contact Lauren today!
